This is a great exposition of what may or may have been going on in Pauls mind when he spoke about marriage. If a person is interested in the philosophy of men and were interested in the psychology of men,---all doctrines of men--this is a good article. But if a person is interested in what the word of God speaks about marriage, they would not need to consult so many others. God commanded marriage beginning with Adam and Eve. Part of the fall of men before the flood was sex and debauchery as taught by the words of God. You find the foibles of Solomon was based on his desire to have more than what God had prescribed. Then later on, the Apostle Paul distinctly speaks of the Apostacized ones, who would teach the "Doctrines of the devil...". So what were these doctrines that Paul spoke of? 1 Timothy 4
1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. -----Just read the word of God because to do else is not serving any purpose but serving man. NOTICE, the scripture speaks of things taught by demons---what are they? Forbidding not to marry.... Why is it that to appease the feelings of people so that you will not look lonely in your worship to God,men do not allow the word of God to speak? Let the word of God speak because on Judgment day, the teaching of doctrines of men will be rejected by the Father. The Bible is TRUTH--For Christ spoke, .."sanctify them by your truth, your word(Gods scriptures) IS truth." The truth glorifies GOD and not vain philosophies of men.
