Description
Clans keep themselves busy with dancing, piping, drumming and, of course, hammer throwing and the famous caber toss at the Calgary Highland Games in Springback Park every year. There are also sheep dog demonstrations, Scottish food and Robbie Burns recitals.
Highland Games have been held in Calgary since 1913. The tradition was brought to North America by Scottish settlers and there are now hundreds across the continent each year.
