Description
Sixty miles (96km) north of Vancouver lies Squamish, a town renowned for its rock climbing. Once there, Squamish Rock Guides will show you the best in local routes.
The best time to climb here is from spring to autumn, as winters are generally cold and wet. The season starts around mid-March with cool conditions to climb in. June to August is the driest season, with warm daytime temperatures reaching a summer maximum of around 30°C. This is an excellent time to visit, also marking the best conditions for climbing. Much less crowded, September brings perfect, crisp weather, with the winter rains usually arriving around late October.
The guides here will be able to steer you directly to the climbs that will suit your needs and level of expertise, with all types of climbing covered.
